Lagos, Nigeria – Chimezie Chuta, founder of Blockchain Nigeria User Group (BNUG), has called on Nigeria’s blockchain, Web3, and crypto community to rally behind events promoting adoption and awareness.
“Refusing to share and support industry-promoting events makes you part of the ecosystem’s problem,” Chuta emphasized.
Chuta stressed that community support is crucial for growth, recalling how many individuals’ lives were transformed by attending conferences, webinars, or programs.
“We do this because people’s destinies are tied to it,” Chuta said. “It’s a burden we bear to save lives. One contact, one inspirational word, or one sighting of a brand can turn someone’s life around.”
Chuta encouraged community members to share opportunities, citing the upcoming Decentralized Intelligence Summit.
“Nigeria is hard, and blockchain, Web3, crypto, AI, and emerging 4IR technologies hold promise for increased productivity and prosperity, especially for Africans,” Chuta noted.
Some Reactions to Chuta’s Call
The community praised Chuta’s sentiments, agreeing with the need for more support from members of the community in the country:
“Chimezie Chuta’s call to action is timely,” said Emmanuel Obe, Crypto Nigeria. “Community support is vital for Nigeria’s blockchain growth.”
“Good opportunity to network,” says Shadrack Egbokwu. “Any plan for virtual participation?”, to which Chuta confirmed that the coming conference would be hybrid, as usual.
