BlockchainUNN’s campus event, ‘Blockchain and Beyond Conference’, records groundbreaking success.

The highly anticipated Blockchain Conference 2.0 was held from 23rd to 24th June 2023 at Ekpo Ref Hall, University of Nigeria. Themed “Blockchain and Beyond: the future of blockchain technology,” the conference attracted over 2000 blockchain enthusiasts, industry professionals, and experts from all corners of Nigeria and Africa. 

With an impressive lineup of workshops, teaching, and panel sessions, the conference offered attendees an exclusive opportunity to explore the exciting potential and future of blockchain.

The workshops held during the conference delved into various skills needed in the blockchain ecosystem. Attendees were provided with practical insights and knowledge. From exploring decentralized finance (DeFi) applications to understanding the history of blockchain Technology, and Cryptocurrency, these sessions introduced attendees to the limitless possibilities of blockchain technology.

Topics ranging from Decentralized Finance (DEFI), Crypto trading, transitioning into Web 3 from Web 2, Technical writing, Blockchain content writing, Blockchain development, Smart contracts, and software development were discussed. 

There was also a major giveaway session where gifts worth over NGN 1,000,000 were given out to students. Several students were awarded scholarships, and some won laptops as gifts.

Attendees of the conference left with a profound understanding of the significant role blockchain technology will play in shaping the future. 

To build upon the success of this conference, we have activities planned post-event to enhance the flames lit in minds of attendees – a 6 weeks Content Writers Bootcamp and a 12 weeks Web2/Web3 Developer Bootcamps.
